WORLD CLASS water skiing at the foot of the Glass House Mountains and within the Moreton Bay Hinterland, Queensland, Australia. Just one hour from the Brisbane International Airport.
The picturesque Bushy Brown's Adventure Ski Park is nestled in 160 acres of natural bush and pine forest. This environment offers the ultimate in water ski conditions with privacy and protection from other watercraft users.
The site features a purpose built International standard lake that features a full and half slalom course, Ski jump and a jet ski - wake skate - slider park.
The Community based Woodford Water Ski Club Inc. operates the extremely safe and private facility, and currently has over 150 members.
The club provides the ultimate water-ski training packages to its lucky members. You can use your own Awsa tournament accredited boat on the lake if you prefer a different boat and or wake shape, or you can ski with the accredited Malibu Response club boat.
Members can learn to ski barefoot, or wakeboard with the clubs accredited instructors and, as an added bonus, you are guaranteed to get up and ski in the first lesson.
The Club offers locals discounts on learn to Ski or Wakeboard.
The club can design custom training programs for the more serious skiers who like to ski more than once or twice a year, either for fitness or to take themselves to National or World Championships.
The Club instructors also offer advice on ski selection, ski setup and how to stand on your skis.
Birthday parties are popular, the party goers can all have a ski and still watch the others having a ski from the lakeside party pergola.
The club has taught hundreds of people how to ski and wakeboard, and has been actively working behind the surge of numbers of people skiing at Waterski Qld events. Club members are encouraged to take their skiing further and compete in competitions offered by Waterski Qld, and the Qld Southern Region Barefoot Club.
Club member and Australian Mens Slalom Champion Joel Howley is a regular at the lake and trains on water every second day.
Australian over 65’s Champion Maggie Storey is another member that will be here most days during the summer.
You will see World Champion Barefooters at the Club almost every weekend , in fact, you will see more World Champions across all of the water ski disciplines at the Club, at one time than anywhere else in Australia. The depth of knowledge and friendliness of the members in the Club make it worthwhile to be a part of.
The Club also holds regular female only boot camps with a female instructor. Activities include paddling, log sprints, and net crawls.
Numbers are limited to ski on the lake at one time, which ensures you get a good ski in, and you can do so without any interference from any other users. This makes for an extremely safe experience, as you are not put in danger from any other out of control water users, to spoil your session.
